Knee Pain : It Can Be Eliminated Without Drugs!

One of the most common problems I hear about is knee pain. So many people seem to have knee pain these days. Some have had surgery and the pain is still there, or even worse than before. Some have injured themselves in athletic competitions. Some just accept knee pain as a normal part of growing older.

Most people seem to believe that once your knees are injured they will never get back to normal. I am here to tell you that that doesn't have to be true for you.

So, how do you rebuild healthy knees?

Well, just like rebuilding and healing any other part of your body, you want to make sure you are getting excellent nutrition as well as adequate rest. Also when you have an injury you need to rehabilitate the injured area gradually without over-doing and re-injuring it.

For the knees there are several key things to remember.
  • If you don't use it, you lose it
  • You must drink plenty of good clean water
  • Eat lots of good fats (avocados, coconut oil, olive oil, raw butter)
  • Avoid processed sugars of all kinds (artificial sweeteners are even worse)
  • Get a full complement of trace minerals (I recommend "Redmond Real Salt")
  • Exercise slowly and in full range of motion
  • Breath deeply and think positively
  • Taking extra Vitamin C (ascorbic acid) will help with both healing and pain control
While going through a healing and building process Vitamin C is essential. For Vitamin C to work well you should also be eating plenty of green veggies and fruit. Avoid processed and artificial sugars like the plague. Sugar incapacitates the body's healing abilities, canceling out the good that Vitamin C can do.

Take Vitamin C with food. That slows down and improves it's absorption. I suggest ascorbic acid in powdered form diluted in water. You can get lots of undesirable fillers and junk with Vitamin C tablets. One teaspoon of ascorbic acid powder will equal about 4.5 grams of Vitamin C.

Vitamin C is short-lived in the human body, so it is best to take it 3 or 4 times throughout the day. The more healing your body needs, the more Vitamin C it can use. You will know if you are taking too much because it will cause you to have diarrhea. If that occurs back off on the dosage until your stool normalizes. A therapeutic dosage could vary anywhere from 6 grams a day to 200 grams a day. It just depends on what your body needs.

Some of the better exercises to do for knees are wall sits. That is when you get in a sitting postion (as though on a chair) with your back against the wall, but no chair present. In this position move your knees very slowly in and out and up and down. Hold for about 10 seconds in each position. Be sure to keep breathing deeply and slowly while doing this.

At first you may not be able to do this for very long at all, that is ok. Just keep gradually building up to where you can do this for about 10 minutes.

There are many other things that can help you rebuild your knees as well. I have only covered a few basics here.
