Eye Twitch Problems? Solution In Sight!

Eye twitch, or the spasming of the muscles under the eye, is fairly common. It can last for a few seconds or sometimes years. The causes are often unknown, but usually break down to a few common things.

  • Stress
  • Dry eyes
  • Lack of sleep
  • Eye irritation
  • Over exercising
  • Poor nutrition
  • Older contacts

Stress is the number one reason. In fact all of the other reasons are also forms of stress. If stress is a factor in your life (you can't really live with out it) then make sure you take time to relax, meditate, and/or pray daily.

Deep, slow breathing will definitely help you to relax, as well as make sure you are getting oxygen to all of your body.

Learn to leave behind the days problems when you get home at the end of the day. Imagine putting them away in a little box, and forgetting about them until the next work day begins. Don't worry, they will still be there tomorrow. But if there not, GREAT!

Dry eyes can have several causes, but the first thing to do would be to make sure you are drinking plenty of good clean water. Dry eyes means you are dehydrated. That dehydration can also be caused by drugs and poor nutrition.

Most people walk around in a dehydrated state most of the time and don't even realize it. If you are dehydrated, it isn't just a matter of drinking a glass of water. You have to drink water consistently throughout the day, everyday.

When you first increase your water intake your body will not accept the water very well. Like a dried out towel or wash cloth, at first the water just runs off. It takes a little time of exposure to the water before your body parts start to soak it in. So expect to use the bathroom a lot at first.

If you are having a health challenge, you should drink, your body weight (in pounds) divided by 10, cups of water each day. Drinking a cup or two of water every hour through out the day should do the trick.

If your eye twitch is caused by lack of sleep, then obviously get more sleep. Go to bed shortly after the sun sets. Your body rests more effectively in the hours before midnight than it does after midnight.

If your eye feels irritated, both you and a friend should look for causes of the irritation, and try to eliminate them.

Over exercising causes undue stress on the body and also contributes to dehydration and malnutrition.

Spasms in muscles can easily be caused by poor nutrition. Mineral balance is very important to the proper functioning of muscles. If you are taking a mineral supplement it can cause an imbalance. The best way to get your minerals is through eating whole raw foods. Particularly important to mineral balance and acid balance (part of the process) is to eat green leafy vegetables.

If you eat a lot of store bought foods you may have a mineral imbalance. Unless you grow a lot of your own vegetables, I suggest using "Redmond Real Salt" with your meals. It is a balance of salts, minerals, and trace-minerals that is very much like the balance found in the human body.

Older contacts can be a problem because they can irritate the eye as they wear out. They can also cause problems if the vision of the eye has improved or worsened from the time they were prescribed. This stresses the eye, and can lead to twitching. Eye glasses can cause similar problems.

Personally, I don't recommend the use of contacts or eye glasses for most people. The eyes are like any other part of the body, in that they can heal and improve if given the proper nutrition and exercise. Even older people can improve their vision if they will take the time to learn the correct exercises and do them regularly.

As I have aged, from time to time, my vision has started to blur. I have found that if I will take the time to exercise my eyes, they will return to health.

Warts, Moles, and Skin Tags : Lose Them Naturally

Warts, moles and skin tags can be really bothersome things. Not only are they unsightly, but they can sometimes cause lots of pain and suffering as well.

Many people have tried many different things to try and get rid of these. If you do a search on the internet, to find out how to get rid of them, you will find many suggestions.

Some people soak them away. You can soak them in water, salt water, hydrogen peroxide, and a variety of other things.

Some people use oils, creams, or salves. Several people like essential oils. Coconut oil looks promising.

Some people rub, scratch or cut them off. Ouch!

Some people use various taping methods: duct tape, tape potato on it, tape aloe vera on it, etc.

Doctors will cut them out or freeze them.

The problem seems to be that while some people have success with these methods, just as many do not.

Of course nothing works for 100% of the people 100% of the time. But what if there was a method that worked 98% of the time for anyone willing to follow some step by step instructions?

Even the methods the doctors and dermatologists use are often ineffective and often leave scars.

What if you could get rid of all the pain and suffering in a safe and natural way that leaves no scars?

What if it only took days to clear up your skin from warts, moles, or skin tags?

A blog is too short to give you this information, but I will point you to the best source. Plus you get all the information on the causes and how to prevent them in the future.

Chris Gibson has been interviewed on television many times, and is the guru to go to for getting rid of warts, moles, and skin tags.

There are other people out there claiming to have "scientifically proven" methods or products, but remember that "scientifically proven" means very little in the real world.

Why not use the method that works for 98% of the people? And solve the problem permanently.

Colon Cleanse : Dump The Gunk

The Standard American Diet (SAD) can fill you full of all kinds of junk. The body can only handle so much junk and then it just starts to pack it away. It packs it away in fat and also in other deposits like gall stones, arthritic burs, calcium deposits, plaque, and the like.

To clean out your system and get rid of these toxins should be high on your list if you wish to have a good lifestyle. If you search around the Internet, you will find all kinds of colon cleansers and detoxifiers. But which ones are good, and which ones are not?

Well, you need to be careful. Some of the natural methods can be quite severe, cleaning you out too fast. Cleansing herbs can be hard on your system. Safer than drugs, but still a bit caustic.

I prefer the long-term, natural cleanse. That means that you drink plenty of water (body weight in pounds, divided by 10, gives you how many cups of water to consume in a 24 hour period). You also try to eat mostly raw, high-fiber foods: Fruits and vegetables, whole grains, nuts and seeds, and good oils (mostly coconut and olive oils).

If you feel really gunked-up and think you need a kick start, you might try the “Master Cleanse”. This is a 3 to 7 day “fast”. If you are new to this kind of thing just try it for 2 or 3 days to start with. You don't eat any solid foods. You just drink lemon water with a little cayenne and maple syrup in it. Now, this is not the kind of maple syrup you find in the grocery store from Aunt Jemima. We are talking about real raw maple syrup, just as it is tapped from the maple trees. You can find it in most health food stores. This also involves a salt water cleanse.

You can read more about the Master Cleanse HERE.

If you are concerned about worms, flukes, or other parasites, then eat plenty of the anti-parasitic foods. These include garlic, onions, black walnuts, turmeric, raw pumpkin seeds, fennel, virgin coconut oil, oil of oregano, thyme, aloe vera gel, and pomegranate juice (juice entire fruit; do not peel; strain afterward).

Also helpful can be cabbage, ginger, horseradish, black currant (root or bark), ginseng, horehound, pineapple, papaya, cinnamon, tomatoes, cayenne, sage, raw sweet potatoes, cranberries, sauerkraut, rosemary, cloves, cumin, raw carrots, and caraway seeds.

So there are many delicious foods you can eat that help you keep your system cleansed and functioning well.

There is one more important thing to think about. You have to get your gut healthy. This means you need to replenish the good and beneficial bacteria that your intestines need, while starving out the bad bacteria at the same time.

To starve out the bad, you need to avoid all processed sugars and artificial sugars. To help out the good, you should use yogurt or kefir daily. Of course, you want to use yogurts and kefirs that are free from artificial sugars, flavors, and colors, as well as ones that contain live bacteria.

Another help for a healthy gut is to add Jerusalem artichoke to your meals. Also avoid alcohol and chlorinated water. They both kill bacteria. That is not what you want in your gut.

All this, of course, is just the basics. Sandy Halliday has put together a ton of information and wonderful recipes that you can use to cleanse your body while still eating delicious meals.

Fibromyalgia

I've received several inquiries about fibromyalgia.

Fibromyalgia at one time was often misdiagnosed. Even today it can be difficult to get an accurate diagnosis. You see, fibromyalgia isn't caused by a particular malfunctioning organ in the body. It isn't caused by a particular bug that can be passed around. As a matter of fact, we still don't really know what the root causes are.

Fibromyalgia is a collection of symptoms, with the most obvious being pain all over the body. There is also generally a mental fog and lack of energy. There is also nearly always a problem with getting a good night's sleep.

It is interesting to note that nearly all sufferers of fibromyalgia have had a significant event that caused them a lot of stress. So learning to deal with and relieve stress is very important.

Daily exercise is one of the most important treatments for this condition. This is generally difficult because it is painful to exercise. But exercise helps balance the systems of the body and is a major factor in being able to get a good night's sleep. Don't over-do the exercise, but work up very gradually until you are exercising about an hour a day. Vary the exercises so that you work all the muscles and joints of the body, in full range of motion, during each week.

  • It is important to eat nutritious, balancing foods.
  • Try to get plenty of fresh, raw foods.
  • It is also important to eat good fats.
  • Drinking plenty of good clean water is indispensable to healing.
  • Try to get to sleep 3 hours before midnight.
These are just some of the basics.

Jane Thompson has written a wonderful book on how to rid yourself of all the symptoms of fibromyalgia using safe and natural methods you can do in your own home.

It is called "Natural Cure To Fibromyalgia".

Imagine going through the day with boundless energy...
Imagine not having to feel that constant muscle pain ...
Imagine having a much sharper mental focus and capacity ...
Imagine being able to enjoy life, literally, socially, and physically ...

First and foremost, you will learn the natural Fibromyalgia treatment option that will eliminate your symptoms and have you feeling better in no time!

Jane tells you how to do this! AND she guarantees it!

Low Fat Recipes : Why?

Low fat recipes can be found all over these days. But before you go and try out any of these recipes, let's first reason together for a moment about why you would want to.

There are so many people telling us how wonderful a low fat diet can be, and yet in spite of all this wonderful advice people on low fat diets continue to gain weight and get fatter. Also, have you noticed that the longer low fat recipes and eating are pushed, the more heart disease, cancer, and other debilitating diseases we have.

There is something wrong with this picture.

Could it be that we have been misled on the role of fat in the human diet?

Have you noticed that fat is what makes foods taste good? I have.

So if you take the fat out of food, how do you make it taste good? Well generally the answer is with some kind of sugar. Of course everyone knows that sugar can make you fat, so we generally go to artificial sweeteners.

The dirty little secret is that for the most part artificial sweeteners are actually worse for your health than plain sugar.

But let's back up a bit. Why would you want to take the fat out of food in the first place?

Do you think that fat is bad for you? This is a very common misconception.

Guess what, ... fat is good for you!

Did you know that every cell of your body uses fat? Fat is particularly important for brain cells. Could there be a connection between low fat lifestyles and the explosion in brain problems?

Did you also know that your body requires the intake of good fats in order to have the ability to break down and dispose of the toxic fats that your body has accumulated?

Believe it or not, the obesity epidemic is partially caused by the lack of good fats.

If you want to lose unwanted fat from your body you need to learn the secrets of fat.

I have teamed up with Tom Venuto (an expert on fat and how to have a great body) to bring to you all the secrets of fat.

Tom not only explains the roles of fat, but explains in detail how to lose it and how to stay motivated and excited about building the body you want to have.

If you want to get off the low fat road to obesity and learn how to have the body you always wish you had, let Tom Venuto help you to once again enjoy eating and enjoy life.

Knee Pain : It Can Be Eliminated Without Drugs!

One of the most common problems I hear about is knee pain. So many people seem to have knee pain these days. Some have had surgery and the pain is still there, or even worse than before. Some have injured themselves in athletic competitions. Some just accept knee pain as a normal part of growing older.

Most people seem to believe that once your knees are injured they will never get back to normal. I am here to tell you that that doesn't have to be true for you.

So, how do you rebuild healthy knees?

Well, just like rebuilding and healing any other part of your body, you want to make sure you are getting excellent nutrition as well as adequate rest. Also when you have an injury you need to rehabilitate the injured area gradually without over-doing and re-injuring it.

For the knees there are several key things to remember.
  • If you don't use it, you lose it
  • You must drink plenty of good clean water
  • Eat lots of good fats (avocados, coconut oil, olive oil, raw butter)
  • Avoid processed sugars of all kinds (artificial sweeteners are even worse)
  • Get a full complement of trace minerals (I recommend "Redmond Real Salt")
  • Exercise slowly and in full range of motion
  • Breath deeply and think positively
  • Taking extra Vitamin C (ascorbic acid) will help with both healing and pain control
While going through a healing and building process Vitamin C is essential. For Vitamin C to work well you should also be eating plenty of green veggies and fruit. Avoid processed and artificial sugars like the plague. Sugar incapacitates the body's healing abilities, canceling out the good that Vitamin C can do.

Take Vitamin C with food. That slows down and improves it's absorption. I suggest ascorbic acid in powdered form diluted in water. You can get lots of undesirable fillers and junk with Vitamin C tablets. One teaspoon of ascorbic acid powder will equal about 4.5 grams of Vitamin C.

Vitamin C is short-lived in the human body, so it is best to take it 3 or 4 times throughout the day. The more healing your body needs, the more Vitamin C it can use. You will know if you are taking too much because it will cause you to have diarrhea. If that occurs back off on the dosage until your stool normalizes. A therapeutic dosage could vary anywhere from 6 grams a day to 200 grams a day. It just depends on what your body needs.

Some of the better exercises to do for knees are wall sits. That is when you get in a sitting postion (as though on a chair) with your back against the wall, but no chair present. In this position move your knees very slowly in and out and up and down. Hold for about 10 seconds in each position. Be sure to keep breathing deeply and slowly while doing this.

At first you may not be able to do this for very long at all, that is ok. Just keep gradually building up to where you can do this for about 10 minutes.

There are many other things that can help you rebuild your knees as well. I have only covered a few basics here.

Alzheimers: is it reversable?

The human brain is a very amazing machine! Recent research has shown that your brain is very much a product of what you do. Researchers were amazed to discover that even people in their 80s and 90s can rewire their brains to work better if they will do certain exercises.

Many people assume that as you age your brain slows down and you become more forgetful.
That isn't necessarily so. Also many people assume that they are getting Alzheimers when they start to get a little forgetful. In most cases it isn't Alzheimers.

It goes back to that old saying, "If you don't use it, you lose it."

If your memory is starting to slip, practice memorizing things. If your thinker seems to be slowing down seek out more riddles, brain teasers and other such activities.

Of course, it is also important to get good nutrition. Here are some nutritional secrets for a better brain.

One of the main causes of Alzheimers is aluminum in the brain tissue. One of the major things that causes soft tissues of the body (including the brain) to absorb heavy metals (including aluminum) is fluoride. Most of us get way too much fluoride intake.

Avoid fluoridated water if possible. Use a non-fluoridated toothpaste. The latest information shows that extra fluoride is not good for your teeth.

The brain (along with every other cell of your body) needs healthy fats. Eat an avocado a day. Use coconut oil as much as possible for your cooking and baking needs. Use olive oil on salads.

The latest research shows that eating fats (if they are good fats) will not make you fat. In fact, you need to take in good fats in order to allow your body to break down the fat build-ups in your body that you are trying to get rid of.

The brain also needs protein (for the amino acids) and carbohydrates (for energy). The key, of course, is balance.

The secret to a balanced diet is variety and raw natural foods as much as possible.

So is Alzheimers reversable? Well, most people who think they have it don't, and the body has remarkable abilities to heal any part of itself if given the proper resources to work with.

I personally believe that, given the proper diet, exercises, rest and positive mental attitude, nearly any disease can be reversed. There are no quick fixes of course. It is a long term prospect to turn around a disease like Alzheimers that has been building up in one's body for a long time.

If you want to develop a better brain, you have to put in the effort to work at it and really pay attention.

I have recently discovered a wonderful program for turning a deteriorating brain into a growing and learning brain. It is a wonderful program called, "Seven Second Memory".

Understanding Science

As we delve into how to live a healthy and successful lifestyle, we will discuss many scientific reports, studies and articles. Science experiments can be very useful if used correctly. It is therefore important to understand how to use science to help us understand correct principles.

Many science articles can be very misleading if we don't see where they are coming from. You may also have noticed that different reports seem to contradict other reports.

We will consider that truth does exist and therefore two contradictory reports cannot both be correct. Although, sometimes we will be able to discover (by looking into the details) that reports that seem to disagree actually agree on major points.

There is an excellent book which has been written that helps us in our understanding of science.
I highly recommend that you get and read it. It will put things into a better perspective for you.
